Wildcats outlast Bulldogs to remain undefeated

Despite the snow, the women’s tennis team hosted the Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb University on Saturday. The ’Cats defeated their conference contenders with a 4-3 victory. Stephani Synn ’12 and Teresa Wang ’10 both remain undefeated in singles competition, both beginning 3-0 on the season thus far.
Katherine Dicconson ’12 improved her personal record to 2-0, winning her singles competition in a 6-2, 6-2 decision. Ali Gores ’10 also played a tough individual decision, ultimately defeating her opponent with a 7-6 tiebreaker.
The ’Cats continue their regular season as they hit the road as they head north to Virginia for two away matches at Radford and Virginia Tech on Feb. 19 and 20, respectively.
